Juanita Zermeno
Juanita is a Lipan Apache from Texas. She is the Co-founder of Native Insights – a group dedicated in providing Native American Indian Cultural education by sharing traditions, spiritually, dispelling common myths and through exhibiting traditional dances and their significance.

Learning Objectives

Following this presentation, the learner will be able to:

• Illustrate a broader understanding of the general concepts of Native culture with the goal of building trust between the Native Veteran and the healthcare provider. 
• List at least 3 possible physical differences between Natives and Non-Natives. 
• Apply knowledge obtained during this presentation to begin to create culturally aware treatment plans for Native Veteran patients.
