Questions That Lead to Cultural Awareness
Questions That Lead to Cultural Awareness
Thursday, September 12, 2024 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (PDT)
Description
Interpreting a patient’s reaction to - and understanding of - medical diagnoses and information can be difficult, particularly when cultural experiences and expectations factor into the patient’s understanding of their health journey. This presentation will help providers (1) understand the nuances of trauma reactions in varying cultures, and (2) use questions to better uncover important cultural information that will help develop the best treatment plan for patients. Special consideration and attention will be placed on Native Veterans, but this session is a good primer for interaction with any patient.
Please join us for our second Cultural Awareness webinar, “Questions That Lead to Cultural Awareness,” on Thursday, August 22, 3:00PM ET / 12:00 PM PT!
